42km. when will i be able to complete it. haha. congrats to the bearers of the finisher shirts. haha.
thinking about what to type now as i contemplate whether i should head back to kranji or not. haha. yes i do have an option. primarily because i am on course now. haha. registered online for driving (finally) and should be going down to do all the necessary stuff tomorrow after my course.
bought a nice pair of shoes. haha. asics nimbus 9. looking forward to running lots. gold i must get.
been in a reflective mood today. must be the lack of exercise and sheer lethargy. anyway here goes. when you get the feeling ur being used or that people are nice to you because they want something from you, do u
a) stop being nice
b) be nice and be taken advantage of.
is your choice based on the ideology that only nice people deserve to be treated likewise or is it based on the notion that how others behave is of minor consequence (ie what matters is that you are able to hold your head up high and treat others nicely).
we often try to evaluate ourselves based on others. but is this really necessary?
should we react based on how others behave?
should our actions be dictated by the actions of others?
hmmm.
anyway yeah i hope we'll rarely be caught in situations like this. people who appear nice because of a hidden agenda should burn in hell. haha. not a nice thing for me to say.
haha here's a nice pic i took in wallaby.
my best gun. haha. look at the branches everywhere. garang.
and here's me deciding i should return to kranji tonight. good night ya all.

It also depends on the magnitude of the task at hand.
If it's a simple job and I can do it easily, I don't mind doing it and the person treats me nice. I guess I don't mind people treating me nicely, whether it's just a facade or not.
I always tell myself this, which many people disagree, and that is yes we should somewhat evaluate ourselves based on others, because if you don't care about how the society perceives things, then you might as well be a hermit on the mountain top.
