yes... i have a toothache... and i dun really noe the extent of the damage... cos it isnt really painful... more like a numbing pain... if that can exist at all... i shall give it one more day b4 i go see a dentist... hahato those who have yet to watch "arrested development" pls do go and watch it... it's quite simply the best comedy on television!! honestly... though i think u'd really have to pay attention to wat's going on to catch the humor in most cases... but even if u dun and feel like ur in a mood for some fun... watching the zaney cast juxtaposed with the lead anchor is really quite a hilarious experience... haha
a random thought: wat if i sign up in nus as a undergrad and a masters student at the same time? will nus find out? will moe know?
played tennis with victor on monday... lost 1-6 1-6... haha just like how pierce lost to henin hardenne...
caleb will be back in 6 days... terence's bdae is coming... roon's bdae is coming... meeting hanmao for lunch this sunday... and till then i'm bored...

ahh... been a while since i last wrote... haha almost a month... sheesh...anyway so many things have happened... china secured the surdiman cup... gerri's back from aust... my results came out... and of course just yesterday justine henin-hardenne just won her second french open title... haha
remember the "impossible is nothing" quote from henin-hardenne.... now it's being used sooo excessively as a marketing catch-phrase... haha din realise that she wuz the one who first "coined" the phrase in the first place... here's a sniplet of an interview at roland garros...
Q. I believe it was about a year and a half ago at the championships in Los Angeles when you said, "Impossible is nothing." That, of course, has been turned into a marketing campaign. But still, do you feel there is meaning, there is some truth in that phrase?

JUSTINE HENIN‑HARDENNE: That's my ‑‑ that's the story of my life. I think it's ‑‑ a lot of things in my life happened, and when I was a little girl and I wanted to become a professional tennis player, that looked very impossible for myself at that point. I just did everything to become a good tennis player, and that's what I did. But it was pretty impossible at this time.
A lot of people thought when I was 16, 17, I would never be in the ‑‑ at the top, and I did. So it's very good achievement for me. And in my life, too, I think I had very hard times, but I just try to keep going. Life continues, and that is the story of my life, really.
well... inspiration for me la... really look up to her as a role model... even though she's just errm actually... she's the same age as me... when u go by the year... yeah... anyway decided to go dig abt more info abt her past... and ya i guess i can say that i've faced far less daunting problems as a child... so there's no reason y i shld not be able to achieve my dreams as she has hers... haha... waah dun i sound really inspired... haha well i am... seriously...
haha anyway yc just has a bout of food poisoning... dunno wat happened... anyway he's not too happee with his results... but wuz telling him that i can feel it in the air that this year will be a good year... haha dunno how to describe it too... it's just one of those times u noe that even though things are bad and life's getting u down.... somehow u can just feel that it's gonna get better... much better and u just patiently wait for that time to arrive... haha well i can really feel that this year is gonna be a turning point in my life... haha
hmmm... i remember during the semester... one sep girl from canada sed to us... "U guys really really love ur govt very much!!"... haha now the more i think of it.. the more amused i get... haha well anyone who noes me will enuff will noe that i am very pro govt and in fact very pro pap... haha sometimes... when i look at singaporeans and see them complaining abt the most ridiculous of stuff... i get really irked... i mean to me... nothing is ever perfect... so i dun see y pple are so picky abt tiny littel inconveniences in their lives... BUT sometimes when i'm a little less passionate abt discussing such stuff i guess i realise that in society there must be that group of individuals who must challenge decisions and policies... i mean it's really only thru them that we progress... and so in line with my attempt to be a nicer person... i'm decided that the cynic in me must really go... so if i ever start complaining abt taxi drivers who complain too much or the occasional uncle from some hdb void deck coming up to whine... pls... knock me on the head 3 times when u see me... i aint perfect and certainly they arent too... haha
ok i realise i'm typing alot of crap that doesnt really coherently link up.. haha but it's ok... cos... 1. i need to really got toilet and crap now... and 2. my mum is asking me to go down and playmahjong... haha so... till later!!
anyway!! CONGRATS TO JUSTINE!! wat a wonderful birthday present for u and ur an inspiration to everyone!!
