for the record... let's just say i really dun like chinese new year... haha seriously... the lure of ang baos doesnt make it any better too... haha but this year... i finally haf an excuse to be anti social and not interact with too many pple liao... haha cos i told myself that i would do my honours project during the hols so that i can finish up at least chapter 1 and say 5 sections of chapter 2... haha...
crazy rite? haha... the other night... i wuz reading field theory (which i am soooo dead for this sem...) and suddenly i felt this rapid tightening of some muscle along the front of my forehead... sort of like a cramp... like a brain cramp if u would... a headache... haha... man... it wuz irritating... i couldn't concentrate after that so i had no choice but to sleep... man this is probably the first time in my life that math has done this to me... haha incidentally the day after, at night, while reading (yes again) field notes... it started to come back again... but somehow did not present itself in full force this time... haha... too stressed?
oh i forgot to say!! haha i finally got my DUMMIT! haha will take a photo of it soon... haha yay!! now i can conquer all my algebra... haha...
okie... here's a nice pic... we took at the gerri cum shue bdae dinner... haha... at spageddies... haha i just realised i haf a very large nose... haha ok shall squeeze it now... hahaha in hopes of it becoming smaller... haha...
hmmm anyway yeah dinner there wuz good but i wuz sort of wondering if it made more sense to eat at munchie monkeys now since well... they are sorta being aided by spageddies... haha i mean the pasta tasted the same and at muchie monkeys it's 1/3 the price... haha...
oh oh and here is the highlight of the evening... a stroke of genius by yours truely... hahahaha ok fine it wuz a plagerized idea so i better quote my sources... haha mahjong cake from prima deli... haha of which of jamie provided both the inspiration and information... haha
cool rite? haha like i sed... probably the first and last time i bought a cake simply for the exterior... but hey the interior tasted quite ok rite? hahaha...
wah... tmr i shld be going for rwinds prac... i dunno any flautists... my batch ones are either in medicine or overseas and wenyang is conducting... juniors are all overseas unless of course ruimin and shiqi play... which i really doubt... so i dunno who will be there... haha... nvm give it a shot.. need a break from finite reflection groups anyways... haha... hmmm...
hmmm... nowadays... i dun see terence that often liao... like maybe once a week only... ya... haha see hanmao more often... haha which makes me wonder how come i always hang arnd smart pple... haha but yeah i've finally learnt to accept not being as smart anymore la... haha i think wat pple say abt having to work doubly hard cos ur not half as intelligent is really really stoopid... i think we should just accept who we are la... what really is the purpose of pushing urself so hard just to be on par with people who are naturally gifted... haha i'm not saying we should not dream the impossible and aim for seemingly unreachable goals... what i am trying to say is that we shld not compare... we shld just do things at our own pace regardless of how others are doing... only then can we find the optimal (i just haf to say this... YES YES I FINALLY UNDERSTAND THAT THERE EXISTS OPTIMAL SOLUTIONS THAT ARE NOT BASICS SOLUTIONS EVEN THOUGH WE CAN ALWAYS FIND OPTIMAL SOLUTIONS AT EXTREME POINTS!!) path to success... so ya... now i'm accepting fate as it is... haha i admit i'm not half as brilliant... and i dun expect others to think i am... haha so ya... sue me if i'm slow... hahahha... oh another note... haha i found out that hanmao wants to do phd after he serves his bond... haha so cool... in case i wanna do also then at least got someone to do with... haha cos he intends to go US... and i hope i wun hafta stay in singapore to do my phd too... hahaha...
anyway... enuff for now i guess... haha time for me to eat my quarter pounder... haha must remember to wake up early to book courts... haha okie... signing off liao... haha take care!!
